India to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha on this date

Hyderabad: In India, Eid-ul-Adha which is commonly known as Bakrid will be celebrated on 12th August 2019.

It may be mentioned that on Friday, the Moon Sighting Committee met at Husaini Building, Mauzzam Jahi Market. It declared the date of Eid after confirming that the Moon was sighted in Delhi, Kolkata and Patna.

It is one of two major festivals in Islam. It is celebrated on 10th Zulhaj. However, the celebrations of the Eid can last up to three days.

Eid-ul-Adha in UAE

For Eid, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) declared four days holiday for both private and public sector.

The holidays will start on 9th Zulhaj and end on 12th.
