India’s fight is against terrorism, not against Kashmiris: Modi

Rajasthan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday while addressing a rally in Tonk said that India’s fight was against terrorism and not against Kashmir or Kashmiris.

He stated that “Our fight is for Kashmir, not against Kashmiris. Kashmiris have suffered the most due to terrorism, and the rest of the country must stand in their support.”

The assaults on Kashmiri students in various parts of India after the Pulwama attack on February 14 was also regretted by the PM Modi, he stated that: “What happened to Kashmiri students in the last few days should not happen in this country.”

Prime Minister Modi while taking a dig at Imran Khan, said, “When Pakistan got a new Prime Minister, I had congratulated him (Imran Khan). I had told him we together should fight against poverty and illiteracy. He had said to me that he was the son of a Pathan and would stand by his words. Today, it is time to test if he will do so.”
