Iran condemns Palestine-Israel peace plan proposed by Trump

Hyderabad: Iran has condemned the US peace proposal.

According to a press release issued by the Consulate General (GG) of Iran, Hyderabad, the peace proposal poses a serious challenge to the economic and geography of the region while also affecting the Palestinian population and boundaries.

As per the Supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, “The only way to end the Palestinian crisis is to hold a referendum in which all Palestinians, including Muslims, Jews, and Christians, determine their own future.”

On the other hand, France, Qatar, the UAE, Egypt and Saudi Arabia welcomed the initiative as a starting point. Although to varying extents, they acknowledged the need for further concessions towards Palestinians without fully endorsing or criticizing the solution.

Other steadfast pro-Palestine proponents like Pakistan, Lebanon’s Hezbollah faction and Turkey unequivocally denounced the proposed resolution. Staunch Israel proponents could not have been more explicit in their laudatory statements towards the plan.

In the Press release, the CG elaborated upon the unilateral nature of this deal in that it will continue Israel’s subjugation over the disputed territory. This hegemony will assume the form of security forces in the Palestinian state along with Israeli control over its airspace.

In a tweet, Foreign Minister Javad Zarif singled out this vision peace as a nightmare for a region and the world while also deeming it a dream project of a bankrupt real-estate developer.
