Soon after the terror caliph Daesh Leader Abu Bakr A Baghdadi was killed in a US raid in Syria, Iraqi state television aired the footage on Sunday.
The aired footage showed a crater in the ground and what appears to be the aftermath of a raid, had blood-stained clothes on the ground, Khaleej times reported.
According to reports, an expert on terrorism helped in tracing Baghdadi’s location.
Despite speculations, a US official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Baghdadi was targeted in the overnight raid but could not comment whether the operation was a successful one.
However, two Iraqi security sources and two Iranian officials have already confirmed Baghdadi was killed in the US raid.
