Hyderabad: The sleuths of Income Tax department on Wednesday carried out search operation against Hyderabad-based Kolors Healthcare India Pvt Limited on the firm’s premises in at least 40 locations countrywide.
The company is owned by a relative of Tollywood actress Raasi. According to sources, the searches were done at 25 locations across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, besides actress Raasi’s residence. The company, owned by Vijay Krishna Devula, is into fitness, beauty, weight loss, and more. He owns a chain of clinics across India.
During the launch, Tollywood veteran actresses Raasi and Rambha had endorsed the efficacy of slimming techniques of this clinic. Acting on intelligence inputs regarding tax-evasion, multiple teams from the anti-tax evasion department carried out searches at the residence and properties of Vijay Krishna Devula and another person Nagachandra Venkat Rayudu Gollapalli.
The Income Tax officials received a tip-off that the clinic has been charging clients high fees, but evading tax. I-T officials have confiscated a number of receipts at the clinic. A probe into tax evasion has been initiated. Vijay Krishna Devula, who owns the venture, is also associated with Kolors Food Sciences LLP, Kolors Healthcare franchise services LLP, Kolors Beauty and Wellness Academy, Advanced Dentistry, Healthcare and more.
