J-K: 12 students injured in Pulwama school blast

Pulwama: Around 12 students were seriously injured in a blast at a school in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday afternoon.

The blast occurred in a school at Narbal in the district.

“An explosion occurred around 2.30 pm inside a classroom of Class 10 of a private school, Falai-e-Millat, at Narbal in Pulwama district. Twelve students have sustained injuries,” read a police statement.

The injured students were rushed to a hospital in the district.

All students are out of danger.

Jawed Ahmed, one of the school teachers, told ANI: “I was teaching and then suddenly an explosion occurred”.

An investigation into the incident is underway.

“Case has been registered and an investigation is in progress,” the statement further read.
