Chandigarh: Congress National Spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill on Monday applied for a ticket to contest from Sri Anandpur Sahib Lok Sabha seat.
The Anandpur Sahib Parliamentary constituency has a total of 1,338,596 electorates out of which 644,388 are females and 694,208 are males, according to the Election Commission of India.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) leader Prem Singh Chandumajra had won the elections by defeating Congress’ Ambika Soni.
