NEW DELHI: Jamia Millia Islamia on Sunday make its debut on Twitter, Instagram and Linkedin.
According to the statement issued by the university, as reported in media, the social media pages formally inaugurated by university’s vice-chancellor professor Najma Akhtar so as to share the “various activities ad achievements of the institutions”.
Prof. Najma Akhtar is the first women chancellor appointed by JMI.
The Instagram handle for the university is jamiamilliaislamia_official while its Linkedin account is jmiofficial. The Twitter handle of the university is @jmiu_official. The university has a verified Facebook page with over 41,000 followers.
JMI is first central university in the city to have its presence on social media.
JMI is one among the most prominent central universities in the country offering UG, PG along with research facilities under the various streams such as Arts, Science, and Commerce.
The university also offers, B.Tech, B.Arch programmes along with advance diploma programmes and various certificate courses.
Jamia ranked 12th under the University category of the MHRD’s National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2019.
