JEE Mains: Three students from Telangana secure 100 percentile

Hyderabad: Three candidates from Telangana have secured 100 percentile and one among them secured the top position for a second time this year in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 March session.

Thirteen students across the country scored 100 percentile in JEE mains 2021, , the National Testing Agency (NTA) declared on Monday.

Three Students who scored 100 percentile in Telangana are Bannuru Rohit Kumar Reddy, Madur Adarsh Reddy, Josyula Venkata Aditya. In the JEE Main February examination, Venkata Aditya topped in Paper 2, which is conducted for BArch and Bplanning papers. This time, he topped the Engineering paper. All three of them are from the Narayana Group of Institutions, Hyderabad.

Also, three students from Rajasthan who scored 100 percentile are Mridul Agarwal, Zenith Malhotra, and Rohit Kumar, respectively.

There are two candidates from Delhi and Maharashtra and once each from West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Bihar who scored 100 percentile, which includes Siddharth Kalra, Kavya Chopra, Bakshi Gargi Makarand, Atharva Abhijit Tambat, Bratin Mondal, Ashwin Abraham, and Kumar Satyadarshi, respectively.

 The JEE Main 2021 session held from March 16 to 18, 2021, and more than 6 lakh candidates had registered for it.

As per NTA data, 6,19,638 lakh candidates had registered for the March session examination.

The exam was conducted in 334 cities (including 12 cities outside India– Baharain, Colombo, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Kualalumpur, Lagos, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore, and Kuwait).

A total number of 707 observers, 261 city coordinators, 19 regional coordinators, six special coordinators and two national coordinators were deployed at these centres to oversee the fair conduct of the examination.

The first JEE Main was held between  February 23 and 26. The NTA had released the result on March 8 in which seven candidates from Telangana have scored 99.99 percentile.

C Vishvanath, K Sharanya, A Pranavi, P Lakshmi Sai Lokesh Reddy, I Nithin R Santhosh Reddy, and A Vikrama Singh from the state secured 99.99 percentile. 

JEE Mains is held for admissions into engineering, architecture and planning programs offered by centrally-funded technical institutions like NITs and IIITs. It is also an eligibility test for JEE-Advanced, conducted to get admission into the 23 premier Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
