New Delhi: The deadlock of promoting Justice Aqueel Qureshi of Bombay High Court ended yesterday when Central Govt. cleared the appointment of Justice Aqueel Qureshi who has been nominated by the collegium of the Supreme Court for the appointment of Chief Justice of Tripura High Court.
It may be mentioned that earlier, Collegium had recommended his name for the appointment of Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court but Govt. of India sent back the file to the collegium for reviewing its decision. It is reported that the file has been sent to the President of India who will issue the appointment order.
