Kaleshwaram to route out drought: Harish

Hyderabad: Former irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today said that Kaleshwaram project was built to route out the drought problem in Telangana State. He said in Siddipet that, the project is biggest in the world and will irrigate about 45 lakh acres in North Telangana districts. He called upon the people to celebrate the event of Kaleshwaram launch as the project will push agriculture and cater to the drinking needs in districts.

Harish also said that dream of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is going to become true with this project to irrigate about 1 crore acres in five years of time. The project took up Pranahitha Chevella during combined AP has became inter state dispute he said. However the TRS on coming to power has worked a lot to complete despite hurdles created by the congress. The congress has moved courts against the completion of the projects as the leaders do not digest the development of the state.

KCR has worked day and night as that of an engineer and expert to complete this gigantic project he noted. He appealed to Sarpanches and leaders to celebrate along with the people the launch of the Kaleshwaram project.
