Kanhaiya Kumar’s convoy comes under attack again

Patna: Former student leader and JNSU president Kanhaiya Kumar’s convoy was again attacked on Thursday while he was on his way back after a public meeting in Bihar.

Kanhaiya Kumar, who is with the Communist Party of India, was addressing a gathering on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), along with other anti-CAA protesters.

The convoy came under attack while on way to Saharsa after a meeting at Supaul district. While it was passing through a local market, unknown protestors pelted stones at the vehicles, in which glasses of several vehicles were broken.

The CPI leaders are also the part of the ‘Save Constitution Morcha’, did not got hurt in the incident.

It may be remembered that this was the second time in four days when Kanhaiya Kumar’s convoy has come under an attack. Stones were thrown at his four wheeler on Saturday as his convoy passed through Saran district of Bihar. Two of the vehicles were damaged at the time.

The former leader of the Jawaharlal Nehru Students’ Union is well known for his critics against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Kanhaiy Kumar has also been a front position in protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act, the National Register of Citizens and the National Population Register across India.

Today Kanhaiya Kumar and Shakeel Ahmed Khan of congress party have started their protest march from Bhitiharva in West Champaran, the march has come into headlines after Chief Minister Bihar Nitish Kumar expressed his wrath on the Bihar police officials who had stopped them as they passed through the West Champaran district.
