Kashmir issue: Experts ask India to ignore Trump’s offer

New Delhi: After Trump made a mediation offer over Kashmir issue, a diplomatic expert said that India-Pakistan hyphenation no longer exists.

According to the report published in The New Indian Express, Mr. Pinak Chakravarty, Former Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs said India should ignore the statement made by US President, Mr. Donald Trump.

He also claimed that the US is making such statements as it wants to exit from Afghanistan and it needs Pakistan’s support to achieve its goal. ‘Pakistan is making attempts to link everything with Kashmir’, he added.

Another expert, former Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan TCA Raghavan said that India-Pakistan hyphenation no longer exits.

It may be mentioned that recently, Mr. Trump had offered to mediate the “explosive” situation in Kashmir amid mounting international concern.
