Kashmir wants development, hatred has no place now: PM Modi

New Delhi: People of Kashmir are now seeking development and those making efforts to spread hatred in Kashmir will never succeed PM Modi said on Sunday.

‘Back to Village’ programme that was held in June in Jammu and Kashmir witnessed enthusiastic response in remote villages in Shopian, Pulwama, Kulgam and Anantnag where the government officials had gone to discuss development schemes with locals.

This positive response from the people shows “how keen people of Kashmir are to join mainstream of development… Such programmes and people’s participation in them show that people of Kashmir want good governance…. the power of development is stronger than the might of bullets and bombs,” Modiji said in his 25-minute address.

He added: “It is clear that those who wish to spread hatred and pose hurdles will never succeed in their sinister plans.”

The hospitality of Kashmiris which helped three Lakh pilgrims to peacefully complete the Amarnath Yatra since July 1 was also appreciated by the PM.
