Khalsa Aid: Selflessly serves ration to flood victims in Assam

NEW DELHI: As Assam battles, severe flood crisis and the situation is far from getting any better, Khalsa Aid India have come forward to help the victims.

The good samaritans of the non-profit aid and relief organization have already reached Assam and have been providing ration to at least 4,000 people. 

The team has also taken to Twitter to urge others to donate for the same cause.

This is not the first time that the team of Khalsa Aid has come forward to provide selfless service to people in distress.

Known for its philanthropic work at ground-zero, Khalsa Aid not only reached Maharashtra’s region that was going through severe water crisis and drought-like situation but had also reached Odisha following the devastation followed the cyclone Fani.

The team of Khalsa Aid had earlier carried out a dedicated rescue operation in Syria or helped the refugees fleeing Myanmar or orphans in Haiti and garner heaps of praise for their efforts on social media.

It should be noted that the torrential rains have affected at least 27 of Assam’s 33 districts. At last count, 48.87 lakh people have been displaced from their homes and the death toll has increased to 47.
