Kodandaram demands KCR to withdraw quota ordinance

Hyderabad: TJS president Prof. Kodandaram on Saturday alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has slashed the BC reservation with a criminal intention to kill the political growth of BCs in the State.

Addressing his party workers protesting at dharna chowk here on Saturday, Prof. Kodandaram said political reservations were meant for the growth of all communities in the State. He demanded that the State government immediately withdraw the ordinance and provide 34% reservations to the BCs in the State.

BC welfare association national president Krishnaiah, who also took part in the agitation, alleged that KCR had reduced the reservations as he had developed grudge against the BCs in the State. He said it was grave injustice that KCR reduced the reservations from 34 percent to 22 percent in the Panchayat elections.
