KTR lambastes PM Modi & Chandrababu Naidu

Hyderabad: TRS working president KT Rama Rao today lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his remarks against the TRS government during his election campaign in Telangana State. KTR also slammed TDP Chief and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for unnecessarily targeting TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao to woo voters.

KTR addressed a meeting of city builders at a hotel here, who extended support to TRS MP candidate Talasani Sai Kiran Yadav. On the occasion, KT Rama Rao said the BJP Government at the Centre did not help the State government for development works. “Modi wave was no more in the country and the dissatisfied people were looking towards the regional parties to lead the nation.

KTR pointed out that despite the Niti Ayog recommended grant of Rs 24,000 crore to Telangana State, the Modi Government ignored it and failed to give the same to the infant State, he deplored. “Though the Telangana State was contributing Rs 50,000 crore every year to the Centre in the form of Income Tax and other Central taxes, the Modi government gave just Rs 25,000 crore in turn. While the Telangana government was helping in nation building, the Centre has accorded national status to the Polavaram in Andhra Pradesh but did not give the same to the Kaleshwaram or Palamur projects. This sort of partisan attitude by the Centre should be condemned and the people should teach them a lesson”, KTR said.

“It is time for us to win 16 MP seats to dictate terms to the Centre and achieve our rights. The people of the State should help elect 16 TRS MPs and one MIM candidate in the polls. This will help us to wrest required funds for the State development. Definitely the regional parties will win the mandate and come to power through a coalition at the Centre. Federal Front being led by KCR will surely play a key role against the BJP and the Congress after the polls”, he added.
