KTR stresses need to create New Bharat

Hyderabad:  CII Southern Region Council organized its fourth meeting here on Friday.


Addressing industrialists from all Southern States, Minister for Industries K Tarakarama Rao said to build upon the vision of creating Naya Bharat or New India, we have to focus on four Is such as Invest, Innovation, Infrastructure, and Inclusive Growth opportunities and Internationalization of business operations. He also said now many inventions of Telangana are being replicated across the country and by many States. “Our inventions like Rythu Bandhu and Mission Bhagiradha are being taken forward and the Centre was planning or implementing these programs across the country.


 Many States have praised our T Hub, T-Works and WE Hub models and are replicating in their States. He also mentioned that there is a need for more collaboration among all southern states to increase trade opportunities. He urged Industry captains to support the formation of the Southern Industrial Corridor on the similar lines of DMIC and work closely with other State Governments and the Government of India to take this forward.


He also said that TS-i Pass is celebrating 5 years, in which about 10993 clearances were given and more than 8000 units have started their operations creating direct employment opportunities to about 12,71,000 people. The government of Telangana is strongly focusing on promoting tier-2 cities and started an IT Hub in Mehboob Nagar and promoting the Hyderabad-Warangal Industrial corridor.

He said that the Government of Telangana is happy to work with CII Green Business Center to make the Kokapet region a Green corridor. He urged CII Industry captains to work closely with the Government of Telangana on promoting Dual Education, strengthening the Tourism sector and also create tangible assets as part of Corporate Social Responsibility.


Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu, Chairman, CII Southern Region & CMD, Laxmi Machine Works Ltd. Congratulated the Industry Minister on his second term and said that the state has done remarkably well under his dynamic leadership. He thanked the Government of Telangana for collaborating with CII closely for strengthening the industry in the state.


D Raju, Chairman, CII Telangana & Managing Director, Kirby Building Systems & Structures India Ltd. briefed about policy recommendations submitted by CII Telangana recently to the Government of Telangana.
About 60 Industry leaders from across five Southern States have joined the session including Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy, Past Chairman, CII SR & Chairman, CYEINT Ltd., B Santhanam, Past Chairman, CII SR & Managing Director, Saint Gobain Ltd.
