KTR urges CII to focus on Trade & Investments

Hyderabad: A CII delegation, led by D Raju, Chairman, CII Telangana, today met with Minister for MA&UD, Industries, KT Rama Rao, and discussed as to how Telangana can top as an investment-friendly State to attract FDI as an outcome of the recent corporate tax cuts and compete with international destinations like Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam. The Minister also discussed on working towards creating a southern block of all south Indian States and work for an Industrial growth corridor. The State was working on Hyderabad–Warangal Industrial corridor and the CII can play a catalyst role to scale up the growth.
           

KTR also mentioned about how CII can be the watchdog for MSMEs in fiscal health and for their growth story. CII chairman updated that CII leadership was  keen on working with Telangana government on Emerging Technologies, Logistics hub and CSR projects. He urged the industry to do high visible and tangible CSR projects for the society. KTR also highlighted that Tourism can be developed fast track on a   PPP mode and the best model project is the beautification of Gandipet /OsmanSagar lake on completion of 100 years in 2002 and ready for inauguration and thereafter  open for PPP mode to Industry partner.
           

CII Indian Green Building Council will work with the Government of Telangana for the Green ratings of new infrastructure projects in the State. The CII members expressed their thanks to the Minister for his time and visionary leadership for industrial  growth in the State and congratulated him for  his second term in office.
