Hyderabad: The key accused of Malegaon Bomb Blast Case, Sadhvi Pragya Thakur might be fielded against former CM of Madhya Pradesh, Mr. Digvijay Singh for Bhopal Parliamentary seat.
If BJP gives ticket to an accused like Sadhavi Pragya, it might go against the party.
Mr. Digvijay Singh decided to contest Parliamentary election for Bhopal seat after Mr. Kamalnath threw a challenge that senior Congress leaders should fight from important constituencies. Mr. Digvijay Singh is a Congress stalwart who had raised saffron terrorism issue vehemently during UPA regime. He had also released a book assigning Mumbai terror attack to RSS.
Mr. Digvijay Singh was CM of MP for 10 years from 1993 to 2003. After the defeat of Congress in MP, he had imposed self moratorium for 10 years for not contesting any election. At the end of this period, he wanted to contest for Lok Sabha Elections in 2014 but Congress sent him to Rajya Sabha.
It may be noted that Sadhavi Pragya Thakur came to limelight when she was arrested in Malegaon Bomb Blast Case in 2008. She was in prison for nine years. Now, she is on bail.
