Man arrested for threatening to blast Hyderabad Airport

Hyderabad: According to the report of the police, an M.Tech student was arrested for threatening to blast Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamsabad.

It was disclosed in a press conference by DCP of Shamsabad Mr. N.Prakash Reddy yesterday. He told that Kattaraju Shashikant (24) felt jealous of his childhood friend Sairam Kaleru who was proceeding to Canada for higher education.

Raju sent a threatening email to customer support service of the airport on Tuesday that he would explode the airport the next day. His intention was to stop his friend from going abroad.

On receiving this message, the police were informed. Airport authorities and Central Industrial Security Force personnel reached the airport. This threat proved to be fake.

It may be mentioned that earlier, Shehikant had also sent fake emails to Canadian Embassy with an intention to get his friend’s visa canceled. Police arrested Sheshikant.
