Man buys horse for daily travel to evade fines, fuel prices

Bhubaneshwar: Afraid of hefty fines and rising fuel prices, a man from Odisha bought himself a horse to escape both, looks like old times of riding horse will return for the common man if the fuel prices don’t recede.

The man from Odisha’s Malkangiri district had sought traveling like the good old times, AA reports.

Jatish Mistri bought the horse at Rs 23, 000 for his daily travel and to drop his kids to school. Not only this but he also carries patients on his horse to the hospital.

When asked why did he chose a horse when traveling has become so easier, he expressed his immense relief over the fact that he no more has to worry about traffic rule violation or petrol expenses.

According to sources, the Government had collected a total amount of `1 crore as fine from traffic violators between the months of September and November.
