A youth died after allegedly being administered an injection at a private clinic in SR Nagar in Hyderabad on Saturday.
According to the police,deceased Sanjay Prasad (31), native of Odisha, was working
as a construction labourer and lived at Vengalrao Nagar. Prasad had gone to Om Sai clinic on Wednesday after complaining of fever.
Police said the doctor was not present at the clinic, and a staffer named Naveen Kumar administered him an injection. In the evening, Prasad got a swelling on his thigh and revisited the clinic, where the doctor assured him of proper treatment.
The doctor gave him some medicine but the swelling only increased. On Friday,
Prasad complained of uneasiness and was rushed to a hospital where doctors pronounced him dead, Sr Nagar police said. A case was registered against the clinic.
