Hyderabad: A vehicle reportedly part of the Telangana Assembly speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy allegedly hit a 50-year-old man, resulting in his instant death in the Medak district.
The convoy was proceeding towards Banswada from Hyderabad.
“The speaker was reportedly not present in the vehicle. The particular vehicle was left behind in the convoy and was trying to catch up,” a senior police officer told Siasat.com.
Early reports had mentioned that the vehicle was overspeeding, however, the police officer denied such claims. She said that the person was trying to cross the road and came in front of the car suddenly. Subsequently, the driver tried to apply the breaks, however, it was too late.
