Marc Short appointed as Mike Pence’s chief of staff

Washington: Former White House director of legislative affairs Marc Short has been appointed as Vice President Mike Pence’s chief of staff on Tuesday.

Confirming the news, Pence said that he is pleased to announce the return of Marc Short to White House as his chief of staff.

“I am pleased to announce that Marc Short will be returning to the White House to serve as my chief of staff. Marc will be joining the Office of the Vice President in March and we look forward to welcoming him to our great @VP Team!” he tweeted.

Short is returning to White House after he left in July last year to join the University of Virginia’s Miller Center and a Washington consulting firm.

Short will replace Nick Ayers who left the Trump administration last year after he refused to become Trump’s chief of staff.
