Deoband: National General Secretary Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind Maulana Syed Mahmood Madani will remain on his post for the time being and will continue to serve Jamiat. However, national president Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has called a board meeting in this connection on February 7 next month. His resignation will be discussed during the meeting.
Mahmood Madani had resigned from his post the day before on reasons unknown. Meanwhile, dispelling rumours, Maulana Mahmood Madani issued a clarification in which he clarified that he will continue on the post and also informed that president Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has called board meeting on February 7.
