Hyderabad: Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) and Congress may seal a deal to defeat Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) in byelections for Dabeerpura. The byelections are scheduled to be held on 22nd January.
It may be mentioned that the seat became vacant after the Corporator of Dabeerpura, Riyaz-ul-Hassan Effendi got elected as Member of Legislative Council (MLC).
Giving the details of the byelections, MBT spokesperson Amjed Ullah Khan said that talks are going on between MBT and Congress.
MIM to finalize candidate
On the other hand, MIM has not yet finalized the candidate for the election. The list of candidates will be released on 12th January 2020. In the Dabeerpura ward, there are 49445 voters.
In the previous GHMC election, the seat of Dabeerpura was won by MIM.
