WASHINGTON: A video of McDonald’s manager throwing a blender at woman’s face after nasty fight is going viral.
According to media reports, the incident took place on September 22 in a McDonald’s in Colerain Township in Ohio, US when Britany Price, the victim, complained about the incorrect order.
In the CCTV footage obtained by WLWT, the argument between the two turned out to be quite ugly following which the manager hit the customer in the face with a blender from behind the counter -knocking her to the ground.
Price, as a result of the attack suffered a fractured cheekbone and a broken nose.
“I wanted to get some Happy Meals and some cheeseburgers and that was a very unhappy day for me. It’s like, you’re directly ignoring me, so what choice do I have? I don’t have to put up with this. So, I went and got the food, I want my money back and that’s kind of where it goes from there,” Britany told WLWT.
Following the incident, McDonald’s told Fox News that the manager has been fired.
A spokesperson for McDonald’s told The Independent: “The safety of our customers and employees is of utmost importance to us” and that “this behaviour is not reflective of our values”. The fast-food restaurant also said it can confirm the individual involved “is no longer employed by our organisation”.
Price is pursuing a civil lawsuit against the fast-food restaurant, according to WLWT.
