Metro Rail to add new route in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Telangana State Cabinet has given nod for starting the work pertaining to the second phase of Metro Rail project covering Hitec City to Shamsabad.

This was disclosed by Working President of TRS and MLA of Sircilla, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao. He told that Govt. is taking steps to develop urban areas. One such step is to provide Metro Rail facilities in order to solve traffic problems. He informed that railway track admeasuring 30 km from Hitec City to Shamsabad will pass through Outer Ring Road and hence there is no problem of acquiring private properties.

It may be mentioned that while planning for Metro Rail project, Falaknuma to Secunderabad track was also included but no developmental work has been taken yet. People’s representatives had announced during the 2018 election that Metro Rail project will soon be started in the Old City but no initiative has been taken so far.
