Hyderabad: Chikkadpally police on Saturday booked Mushtaq Malik, Convenor Joint Action Committee against Citizens Amendment Act (CAA)and NRC for allegedly violating the conditions of Millions March permission.
The police claimed that it had granted conditional permission to JAC, which includes a clause of not permitting the gathering of persons more than one thousand at Indira Park Dharna Chowk. More than two lakhs public had taken part in March, upon which the Chikkadpally police have taken a suo-moto action against JAC convenor Mushtaq Malik.
A case under IPC sections 143(Unlawful Assembly), 341(Wrongful Restraint) and 290 (Nuisance) have been registered and an investigation is underway.
