Hyderabad: United Muslim Action Committee against CAA & NRC has shifted its venue for celebrating midnight Republic Day celebrations from Historic Charminar to Khilwat grounds. The decision was taken after police did not give permission to protest meeting.
In this connection All India Majlis E Ithehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi tonight conveyed the message to public of shifting the venue on through a tweet.
Earlier AIMIM Supremo had announced that United Muslim Action Committee will celebrate Midnight Republic day celebration on January 25 near Historic Charminar by unfurling tricolor at 12am which was followed by anti CAA and NRC poetry ( Ehtejaji Mushaira). In this regard a police permission was sought.
After careful consideration of application, Hyderabad police on Thursday denied permission to hold the proposed programme at Charminar. Instead south Zone police have given a accord to hold the similar event at Khilwat Grounds in old city.
