A 40 year old man raped a nine year old minor girl and killed her by strangling her throat.
This incident occurred at Sulahpet (Official name, Yakapur) in Chincholi Taluqa (Gulbarga District, Karnataka) near Tandur.
According to the details of the incident, the girl was playing in front of her house in the evening of Monday. Her neighbor, Ilaiah (40) lured and took her to the nearby farm and raped her. After committing the crime, he strangled her throat and killed her. Later, he dumped the dead body into a nearby pit and came back home.
When the victim girl, did not come back home, her relatives started searching for her.
Another girl of the same locality, who was playing at that time, told that the tailor Ilaiah had taken Zikra with him.
The parents of the girl lodged a complaint at the Sulahpet police station against Ilaiah.
Police arrested Ilaiah immediately and interrogated him. He confessed his crime and took the cops to the place where he had dumped the dead body of the victim. The body of the victim was found in semi naked condition.
