New Delhi: There is a countrywide agitation against CAA and NRC since an attempt has been made by Modi Govt. to divide the country into communal lines.
Its reaction could be felt in the entire world. The diplomats of various countries posted in New Delhi are also very perturbed although they have been saying that it is an internal matter of Govt. of India.
It is reported that some of the foreign diplomats expressed their anxiety when a reporter of an English daily contacted them.
They complained that Govt. of India kept them informed about Balakot, Pulwama, Scrapping of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and Ayodhya Case but it did not inform them about CAA and NRC which also have an international dimension. In CAA, there is a mention of Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh.
When the media persons talked to the G-20 and Group Five countries, they told that on the condition of anonymity that it is a very sensitive issue.
Foreign diplomats are forced to think about whether Govt. takes into consideration international criticism or not?
