Modi Govt. worsened J and K situation: Raja

Hyderabad: The situation in Jammu and Kashmir is very tense. Modi Govt. has made it worse by scrapping Article 370. This step has been taken without eliciting the opinions of the local persons which has created a bad impression on the functioning of the democratic system of the country.

These thoughts were expressed by the newly elected national General Secretary of CPI, Mr. D. Raja while addressing a gathering at party headquarters, Maqdoom Bhavan on Sunday organized to commemorate the Centenary of Indrajeet Gupta.

Parliament passed many bills during NDA II

Mr. Raja told that Modi Govt. got various bills passed in the Parliament during the second tenure of office. The act of scrapping Article 370 depicts the ill intentions of Modi Govt. The way in which this decision has been taken is a constitutional flaw which is not acceptable.

Propaganda by BJP activists

He further told that Article 370 was the only way to retain Kashmir part of India which Govt. has closed. He alleged that Govt. is making a false propaganda. He also said that Govt. is labeling as traitors to those who are opposing the steps taken by the Govt. BJP activists are propagating that Jammu and Kashmir had delinked itself from the rest of India and by scrapping Article 370, Modi has made it part of India.

He put a question mark on the action taken by the Govt. of India for scrapping Article 370. He also told that struggle should continue till justice is done. Paying rich tribute to Mr. Indrajeet Gupta, Mr. D. Raja said that the name of the personality which struggled for the cause of the poor and the hardworking is Indrajeet Gupta.
