Mosque: 70 YO Sikh man donates 900 sqft land

Muzaffarnagar: Promoting brotherhood among two different communites, a 70-year-old Sikh man won many hearts after he donated a piece of land for a mosque in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar district.

Social activist Sukhpal Singh Bedi made the announcement at an event celebrating the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev on Sunday.
Soon after making the announcement, Mr Bedi handed over land documents for the 900 sq ft plot to Nagar Panchayat Chairman Zahir Farooqui. The majority population in the Purkazi town are Muslims, TNIE reports.

Speaking during the event, Mr Bedi said he intends to spread the message of peace and communal harmony citing of treating all people equally and with respect.
