MRPS demands CM to restore Ambedkar statue at Panjagutta

Hyderabad: MRPS leader Manda Krishna Madiga on Wednesday alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao cheated the Dalits in the State. He also alleged that the ruling party and KCR had insulted BR Ambedkar by demolishing his statue at Panjagutta.

Addressing the Mahagarjana organised by the State Ambedkarists at Indira Park today, Manda Krishna Madiga said he would gather all the Dalit leaders from all political parties and would prove that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was anti-Dalit.

Recalling that the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had removed a Dalit leader Rajaiah, who was Deputy Chief Minister from his cabinet, the same Chief Minister failed to remove Jagdish Reddy despite he faced several allegations in the recent Intermediate examination results fiasco.

The MRPS leader said they would meet the President of India and Governor ESL Narasimhan for restoration of Ambedkar statue at Punjagutta. Senior Congress leaders V Hanumantha Rao, former PCC president Ponnala Laxmaiah, Addanki Dayakar, TDP leaders L Ramana and Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy, BJP MLC N Ramchender Rao and others took part in the maha dharna program.
