Muslim and Dalit organisations unite against CAA-NRC-NPR

Hyderabad: A series of events including dharnas, awareness drives and door to door campaigning will be conducted in Telangana state by various Dalit and Muslim organizations in the State from 10 February to 10 March.

The first in the series of these events is a one month door to door awareness campaign about CAA, NPR and NRC which will commence from Feb 10 and conclude on 10 March.

Addressing a Press Conference organized by Jamiatul Ulema-e-Hind in collaboration with different SC, ST and BC organisations, it was announced that peaceful protests against CAA, NPR will also be organized.

A state-level Dalit Muslim Intellectual Conference will also be held on 22nd February. On 1st March, Chalo Kakinada program will be organized where Dalit Garajana will take place. On 6 and March, a Tribal conference will be organized by Girijans.

The ‘Chalo Hyderabad’ protest will be held on 14 March where different SC, ST and Muslim organizations will participate. During this program, special arrangements will be made to conduct the program without disturbing.

“All these programs will be held after proper consultation with the police commissioner so as to ensure peace conduct and without disturbing the traffic scenario in the city”, they said.

Mr Bellaih Nayak, President Lambada Rights Committee, Adanki Dayakar, National President Mala Mahaynadu, NRPS State president Mr. P Surender Madiga, Mr. K Venkatesh, Mr V. Prabhakar, Mr. Vijaykumar, Ex MKC Ramulu Nayak, Narsing Rao, Rukmini Nayak, I. Yadgiri and Mr Khaleeq Ahmed Saber (General Secretary, Jamiatul Ulema Hind – AP and TS) addressed the Press Conference.

Speaking on the occasion, they said “more than Muslims, backward classes including the tribal community and Dalits are at loss with the implementation of NRC, as the majority of the population from these communities is illiterate and has no proper documentation to prove their citizenship.”

“It is the conspiracy of BJP and RSS to alter the constitution made by Dr. B R Ambedkar”, they said while pledging to protect the constitution in its entirety. They said “BJP and RSS are trying to once again bring back the distasteful concept of untouchability. Indians must unite to protect the constitution. If the constitution is saved, the country is saved”, they said.
