Muslim couple sexually harassed, thrashed for not chanting ‘Ram’

Alwar: In yet another shameful yet hatred- filled incident, a Muslim couple from Alwar was allegedly assaulted for not chanting ‘Ram  Ram’ on Saturday night sources report.

The incident is reported from Haryana where the couple was accosted by two youths at the Alwar bus stand where the couple where having their dinner, Indiatoday reports.

The assaulters identified as Vansh Bharadwaj and Surendra Bhatia not only assaulted the couple but also stripped and made lude filthy gestures at the woman.

The helpless couple started crying for help when other people gathered and thrashed the accused.

The accused were later taken to the women’s police station in Alwar for further action.

The couple has filed a complaint against the Bharadwaj and Bhatia at a women’s police station in Alwar.

What Exactly  Happened:

According to sources, the woman was returning after visiting her mother’s home in Haryana. The couple along with their child stopped at the Alwar bus stand to have snacks when the assaulters approached them and started harassing them.

The victims alleged that the duo told them that “Muslims stay in Hindustan but don’t chant Ram-Ram” after which they started harassing the couple.

When the husband refused to chant Ram Ram the assaulters started physically harassing them when the wife tried to protest, the accused started sexually harassing her.

They further went on the strip in front of the woman and continued to misbehave with her.

The Rajasthan Police got the youth treated at the Rajiv Gandhi Hospital in Alwar and after a medical test of the victim couple was conducted, a case under sections 354A (sexual harassment), 295A (deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings), 509 (outraging modesty of woman), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 386 (Extortion by putting a person in fear of death or grievous hurt) of the Indian Penal Code was filed at a women’s police station.
