Naqvi hits out at Congress over Baghel’s statement on BJP, RSS

New Delhi: Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Sunday hit out at Congress and Chattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel a day after the latter had said that he “would accept the BJP and the RSS value Mahatma Gandhi when these parties start raising ‘Godse Murdabad’ (Down with Godse) slogans.”

Speaking to ANI Naqvi said, “Congress leaders have mental bankruptcy due to which they make comments like that.”

“If a senior leader of the Congress party is talking like that then one can guess what junior leaders must be talking,” he added.

Yesterday, Baghel said that he would accept that the BJP and the RSS value Mahatma Gandhi when these parties start raising the ‘Godse Murdabad’ (Down with Godse) slogans. “I will accept Modi ji has become a true Gandhian when action is taken against those from RSS and VHP who keep Godse’s idols in their homes,” Baghel had added.

On being asked about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech at UNGA, Naqvi said, “There was the talk of peace, development for all, security and call for the unification of nations against terrorism in the speech of Prime Minister Modi at UNGA.”

“It was a speech made as a statesman and it was appreciated over the globe. Prime Minister Modi spoke about removing poverty and protection of the environment. He has always elevated the pride of the country,” he added.
