According to the new law passed by the Dutch Government, the veil the Muslim women use has now been banned.
This law prohibits Muslim women wearing Hijab at public places like Govt. Offices, public transport, health and educational institutions.
Earlier, the Netherlands was presumed to be a tolerant country wherein persons following various faiths had complete freedom in their worships and religious rituals. With the imposition of the ban, it has also joined the European countries where Hijab is banned.
Those who violate this rule will be fined to the tune of ISO Euros.
It may be mentioned that earlier,Germany, France. Belgium,
Austria and Denmark have imposed ban on wearing Hijab.
