New Education Policy to be implemented soon: HRD minister

By making teachers leaders, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country will once again reach the pinnacle of educational field.

New Delhi: Declaring the New Education Policy as the foundation of the new country HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Wednesday said that 2 lakh proposals have been received regarding the draft and the policy will soon be enforced.

Dr Nishank while inaugurating Nishtha programme said that the principals and teachers of the schools will be given training. In the first phase, 3 lakh teachers will be prepared. Besides yoga training they will be given scientific and cultural training.

The HRD minister claimed that India has always been at the forefront in the field of education and according to our culture a teacher is treated as ‘Ishwar’.

He further claimed that by making teachers leaders, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country will once again reach the pinnacle of educational field.

Mr Nishank said the new educational policy is being prepared after 33 years. People are anxiously waiting for it and are demanding to implement it soon.
