Ghaziabad: The Vijay Nagar police has arrested a man for allegedly raping 10-year-old minor of a woman he was in a live-in relationship.
The incident is reported to have occurred on Monday night when the woman who is a domestic help was away for work leaving the minor girl at home, NDTV reported.
SP Shlok Kumar, said the accused identified as Pooran, reached the home in an inebriated state and raped the minor.
The incident came to light when the woman returned to the home and the victim narrated her ordeal.
The accused is a tent house employee and was arrested based on the complaint by the victim’s mother said the police.
The police added a case under IPC section 376 (rape) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was registered against the accused.
