12 dead after flash floods hit Afghanistan’s Khandhar province

Khandhar: At least 12 people were killed and 18 others suffered injuries after heavy rainfalls and flash floods hit parts of Kandahar province on Saturday (local), reports Tolo news.

As many as 1,575 were also destroyed in the floods. The Afghan Air Force is carrying out the rescue operation.

According to the officials, humanitarian organizations will start distribution of food and non-food materials to all displaced people.
