As many as 150 kids of class 2,3,4 filtered from two lakh kids competed preliminary stages from across 15 States from all over India will compete in the Nationals to be held in the city to solve 160 arithmetic sums in just ten minutes.
The city will witness 150 wonderful brains, who are hardly 10 years and solve arithmetic sums faster than calculators. The National Level Arithmetic contest will be held on 17th December at Hotel Katriya, Somajiguda.
The All India Arithmetic Genius Inter-School Contest 2017 is the biggest ever held in the country , where not only SIP abacus trained students are taking part, but non SIP students are also competing.

Nine students who are the winners of the Regional Contest held from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh state will be among the 150 kids who will fight for the laurels at the nationals.
These nine kids selected to participate in the nationals competed with 21,000 children from 46 schools from across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. 7000 got selected in the second round from which these 550 got selected to compete in the regional round from which nine kids got picked up.
Nine kids competing in Nationals include the champions in the regional contest Saket Mahapatra of Class two of DAV Safilguda; Nitish G of 3rd Standard from DAV Safilgudaand B. Arvind of Class Four DAV Safilguda emerged as Champions in their respective categories.
According to organisers, the objective of the contest is to develop Arithmetic skill, one of the crucial skills for children’s future development. SIP Academy’s one of the focuses is on improving the Arithmetic Skills in Children at a young age. The Contest generates competitive spirit and interest towards Arithmetic and Maths in the long run. SIP All India Inter-School Arithmetic Genius Contest is being organized in 15 states across India. Children from more than 500 major schools across India are participating in the same.
On the whole, It has 4 rounds 1st round is at school level, 2nd round at all SIP Abacus Centre where 30% top selected children wrote the exam with the duration of 10 minutes and 3rd round was at Regional level where 15 students from each school participated in the exam which had 10 minutes duration with 100 sums. The fourth Round which is the National level is the final one.
The first three National Level Winners from Class 2, Class 3 and Class 4 in the SIP All India Arithmetic Genius Inter-School National Contest 2017 will get Rs 25,000/-, 15000/- and 10,000/- cash prize respectively and will also be decorated with a Trophy and Certificate. (INN)
