17-year-old Arsh Ali becomes the youngest archaeologist of India

New Delhi: Arsh Ali, a 17-year-old youth became the youngest archaeologist of India. His adventure with arts and archaeology started years before.

According to the report published in The Hindu, Arsh Ali is very much interested in visiting digs, conducting research on ancient history, delivering lectures on history and archaeology etc.

Ali’s parents, Faisal and Fatima had recognized his skills years before when he sketched the Pashupati temple in one go.

Since 2015, Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has started inviting him to be part of their excavation and exploration programs.

He knows 15 languages including Hebrew, Arabic, Greek and Brahmi. Currently, his goal is to find evidence of the existence of Buddhism in ancient Egypt. National Museums in Cairo and Alexandria have given him permission to access antiquities.

According to the report of Business Standard, Arsh Ali is the youngest Indian archaeologist.
