18 YO solves underwater six Rubix’s cubes challenge

New Delhi: A Georgian teenage boy has created history by solving all the six Rubik’s cubes underwater in a single breath on August 17, 2018.

The 18-year-old Vako Marchelashvili had been preparing for this underwater challenge for the past six months to set a new Guinness world record, India Today reported.

The challenge was conducted in Gerogia’s Gino Paradise aqua park where Vako completed his challenge in one single breath that took him one muniute and 44 seconds as he lay submerged in a glass water tank solving the Rubik cubes in front of the crowd watching his moves.

“I trained a lot planning to break a record – and to ensure my safety, because even a small mistake could be dangerous and life-altering,” says Marchelashvili.

“I think my result will stay as a record for a long time. I hope to break many other records,” he added.

Now the Georgian Records Federation has issued a diploma confirming Vako’s challenge and will soon send their evidence to the Guinness World Records headquarters for verification.
