Chandigarh: Two people were arrested on Friday in connection to the Morni Hill alleged rape case that took place last year.
On the laxity of the police, Morni Hill Deputy Commissioner of Police RK Meena said, “Strict action will be taken against those found guilty of negligence. Three police personnel have been suspended. Our priority is the safety and security of the victim. Further investigation is underway.”
Last year, the 21-year-old victim was allegedly gang-raped and dumped in an isolated place in Sector 53, Chandigarh.
According to reports, the victim was returning home in the evening in an auto-rickshaw from Sector 37 when she was gang-raped. (ANI)
