Afghanistan: A suicide bomb has been targeted at Afghanistan’s Supreme Court in Kabul, killing at least 20 people, and injuring 45 on Tuesday according to officials.

The bomb hit near a side door which is used for court employees to leave the building at the end of the work day.

Najib Danish, deputy spokesman for the interior ministry, said. The attacker was on foot and detonated his suicide vest packed with explosives near the employees and other people as they were coming out of the main court building.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack but this is not the first attack that targeted the top court and its employees.

The attack came hours after a senior district official in western Farah province was killed in a bombing claimed by the Taliban.
