2017 UP Assembly polls: Congress plans massive road show, public meeting on July 25

New Delhi: The Congress party will take out a road show followed by a public meeting here on July 25 in the run-up to the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

According to Congress Kanpur city unit chief Har Prakash Agnihotri, the chief ministerial candidate of the party for the Uttar Pradesh elections Sheila Dikshit, newly-appointed state unit chief Raj Babbar and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad are expected to be present on the occasion.

All the leaders and workers of the party have been asked to ensure that the road show turns out to be a grand success, said Agnihotri, adding there is a plan to take it to all the wards of the city.

The entire city will adorn the Congress colours on the day in the form of flags, banners, posters etc., he said, adding that the venue for the public meeting is yet to be decided.
