2019 General Election: Left front to field Kanhaiya Kumar from Bihar?

New Delhi: Left front decided to field former Jawaharlal Nehru University President, Kanhaiya Kumar from Bihar in 2019 General elections.

According to the report published in NDTV, he is likely to contest for parliament seat from his home district, Begusarai.

Talking on this, K R Naraina, National Council Secretary of CPI said that “Kanhaiya Kumar will contest on CPI ticket. However, he will represent the left front,” Naraina added.

The report further says, that Kanhaiya is said to have agreed to contest from Bihar and is already making preparations for the election.

Now, leaders of left parties are attempting to unite parties including RJD, Congress and field Mr. Kumar as the candidate for 2019 General election.

It may be mentioned that although he would be the first time contestant, he gained a lot of popularity due to last year controversy over an event in JNU.

However, Kanhaiya’s response on his candidature is still awaited.
